Clang 15/16 compilation issue: -Wincompatible-function-pointer-types

Hi Team,

While following up on bugs potentially related to the -Wimplicit-int issue I was pointed at several bugs in Gentoo's Bugzilla that turned out to be build failures with recent Clang related to -Wincompatible-function-pointer-types
