Description of the bug

I have not installed GIMP for a while.

I download and install the most recent version, 3.20 RC2.

I want to add a possible plugin. I try to locate the plugins folder.

I find out the plugins folder is in preferences.

I look for preferences but can't find until I take a guess, because apparently the menu link for preferences has been named "Settings". Screenshots attached.

Please don't do this to people! :) :)

Have it be named one thing that's the same. Either this preferences or settings.

And really, please keep this as Preferences, and change the menu link to Preferences.

Thank you.

Reproduction

Is the bug reproducible? Yes

Reproduction steps:

  1. Open GIMP
  2. Go to GIMP menu and look for Preferences
  3. See only Settings, which links to Preferences - GIMP > Settings

…

Expected result: Being able to find Preferences just to quickly find where Plugins are stored

Actual result: Hunt around and Google in vain for where the Plugins might be located, because can't find Preferences in the menu, on Mac.
